Build

Originally prepared by Peter Gladstone  at M3 MotorSport in March 1999 to International Specification. Car was then used by Iain Henderson to win the N2 category of the 1999 Safety Devices Macadam championship plus 1999 Catalunya round of WRC. Bought by and now run by Tomsport since 2004

Body

Citroen Saxo, 3 door hatchback. Welded in OMP multi-point roll cage, seam welded and lightened. Alloy sump and fuel tank guards. Front mudflaps.

Cockpit 

Kingdragon seats, fibreglass floor trays, fire extinguishers,  Willans harnesses , Terratrip 404 tripmeter.

Engine

TU5J4  16 valve, 1587cc.  approx 125 bhp (at wheels) @ 6500 rpm. Grp N camshafts, increased compression & blue printed engine with rolling road optimised cam timing and DTA engine management system. PTS Grp N foam air filter. PTS Magnex ‘dummy cat’ competition stainless steel exhaust system.  PTS Grp N hard engine mounts

Citroen electric power steering system

Transmission

Front wheel drive, AP Racing clutch, GrpN driveshafts, 5-speed VTS close ratio gearbox,  with GrpN Avanti  4.9 final drive and A.P. Suretrac LSD. PTS GrpN rose jointed gear linkage.

890kg in gravel trim, 882kg in tarmac trim, 850kg  homologation minimum

Peugeot Sport Bilstein adjustable front struts, GrpN bottom arms, 22mm anti-roll bar.

Peugeot Bilstein rear shock absorbers and torsion bars. 22mm anti-roll bar.
