Work continues on the 309, albeit at a reduced pace. The diff has been returned from it's rebuild/service and has been refitted. Now the engine is back in the 309 is once again looking purposeful. There's still the job of fitting some new wings, but that shouldn't take too long once we set our minds to the task.

It has been decided to debut the new car at MIRA on 3rd April, where Stu will return for another go in the passenger seat. George has had to commit a lot of time to the preparation, as it would seem that it's spec has drifted somewhat from the original group N it was built to contest.

March 2004

It looks like big changes are going on here in the Tomsport camp:

Following a couple of lean years for Tomsport, George has purchased a new car. 2004 will see George attempt a number of single and multi-venue tarmac events and possibly a smooth forest event, in order to familiarise himself with the new car. 2005 then, should hopefully see Tomsport once again in a position to contest a tarmac championship.

With a full period of homologation, George is at least intending to return to the Isle of Man for a run of the Manx International event in late 2005 - a cracking event and a good holiday to boot.

All this means that the Peugeot 309 GTi 16v will be up for sale shortly. The 309 is currently coming to the end of it's annual winter rebuild, and intends to be "shaken down" at MIRA on the 3rd of April, sporting the obligatory "For Sale" signs.

Following the purchase of the new car, we are taking to opportunity to redesign this website - come back soon to discover further details on the car and what events we intend to compete on.

Aron has gone into partnership with Jamie Cook, with a Ford Escort Mk2. The Astra will be used as a hire car in the short term, with the idea of transplanting the engine into the Escort at a later date.
